Who will be the next generation of adorers?
Even though our roots are in the Perpetual Rosary branch of the Dominican Nuns, our community has an equally strong tradition of Eucharistic adoration. This is because it was Bishop O’Leary’s wish when welcoming us to the diocese that we take on adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Mother Mary Hyacinth, our foundress, answered that she would do so once she had enough sisters. At the heart of our prayers for new vocations is the deep desire that our Eucharistic Lord continue to be known and loved this way. Our outside chapel, opened to the public during the day, often sees visitors. Some stay for a minute. Others for a holy hour. Still others come to pray the Divine Office with us. We welcome them as part of our ministry of prayer. Do you think God is calling you to join us as an adorer?
